The Building Codes Assistance Project (BCAP) has named CSG’s David Weitz as an Energy Code Champion for his leadership in developing technical best practices for building code design and building science.

David Weitz, Energy Code ChampionWeitz is the Director of Applied Building Science at CSG, where his focus includes building material and installation guidelines, QA/QC processes and inspection protocols, and overseeing technical development and technology acquisition.

He also provides leadership on building science issues and the development and incorporation of new techniques, services, and technologies within CSG’s energy efficiency programs.

The board of directors of the Home Performance Coalition (HPC) announced today that Brian T. Castelli has been named chief executive officer.

He’s a strategic thinker with exceptional vision and passion,” said Steve Cowell, chairperson of HPC’s board of directors.

HPC was created in 2013 through the merger of Affordable Comfort, Inc. (ACI) and the National Home Performance Council (NHPC) to unite the many voices of the home performance and weatherization industry.

“Residential energy efficiency is crucial to community and economic development and to environmental stewardship,” Castelli said, “and I look forward to collaborating with stakeholders throughout the industry and in related industries to continue to advance our shared mission.”
